Tikkun Olam

Havurah's Outreach Committee supports our mission to provide a vibrant, egalitarian, diverse, engaged Jewish community through promoting acts of social responsibility steeped in Jewish values. We are a part of Georgetown's Ministerial Alliance and have representation on the advisory board to The Caring Place.

Monies collected in our Tzedukah box at services are donated to a variety of local charities:  The N.E.S.T., Back Pack Buddies, Brookwood in Georgetown, The Locker, R.O.C.K., Assistance League, Police Victims Assistance Program and more.  We also collect "flip tops" from tin cans to support the Shriners in Georgetown.
